As a Busy Mum you haven't got time to exercise, right?
That's what I thought too!
I've discovered, though, that this isn't true.
Your CHILDREN are important to you, and so is your HEALTH AND FITNESS, but you never seem to be able to look after BOTH.
Which one nearly always seems to get dropped, even with your best intentions?
There is muddy rugby kit to get washed for tomorrow, packed lunches to do, £1 coins to take in for non-uniform day, the dog to walk, the chicken to get out of the freezer so it can thaw for dinner, children’s reading to listen to, breakfast to eat, matching socks to find, teeth to brush - yours and your children’s, French plaits to do (which always seem to take ages), and of course don’t forget, you need to get dressed too!
And it’s not even 9.00am yet!
The day continues to be just as busy.
By the time you have all your children in bed, and gone through the delaying tactics; your youngest is still high on sugar from a birthday party, your daughter just wants to show you her handstand one more time and your eldest is doing everything other than getting into bed, you might at last have some time for yourself.
You can finally do some exercise that you have been trying to fit in all day, but you are exhausted.
You just can’t face it. And let’s be honest you haven’t really got the time because there is still washing to do, the rugby kit isn’t quite dry yet, the dog needs another walk, you haven’t seen your husband all day and it might be nice to remind yourself what he looks like,
so you’ll leave the exercise and do it tomorrow.
Tomorrow won’t be quite so busy.
Fingers crossed - but chances are it will be exactly the same unless you do something different.
I would always seem to make my life more complicated than it needed to be because I didn't know there was another way.
