Today's session is about slowing down, breathing, moving and giving yourself permission to spend fifteen minutes looking after yourself.
There is nothing to achieve today. Simply notice how your body feels before and afterwards.
Move More Freely
Today's focus is helping your body move with a little more ease. Notice where movement feels comfortable.
There's no need to force anything. Every small improvement matters.
Stand Taller
Today's session is about more than posture. It's about creating space in your body. Standing a little taller, breathing a little easier and moving with less effort. Feel lighter, more confident and more comfortable in your body.
Feel Stronger
Strength isn't about lifting heavy weights. It's about feeling capable in everyday life. Climbing the stairs, carrying the shopping, getting up from the floor and knowing your body can support you.
Today's session is about building that kind of strength, one movement at a time.
Move with Confidence
Confidence in movement comes from trusting your body.
Today's session will help improve your balance, coordination and control, so everyday movements begin to feel a little steadier and more comfortable.
Remember, it's not about being perfect. It's about noticing the small improvements that build over time.
Feel more like you again
Many women think they need more energy before they can start exercising. In reality, gentle movement is often one of the best ways to create more energy.
Today's session is designed to wake up your body, get you moving and leave you feeling refreshed rather than exhausted.
You don't have to finish feeling worn out for movement to be worthwhile. Sometimes the greatest benefit is simply feeling lighter, brighter and more like yourself. Refreshed nd ready to take on the world again!
I hope these six sessions have reminded you that you don't need lots of time or perfect circumstances to start looking after yourself. Small moments of movement really can make a big difference.
Reflection
Thinking back to when you started this journey, what's changed? How would you like to keep that feeling going?
STOP Waiting for LIFE to be Perfect.
If you've enjoyed making movement part of your everyday life over the last two weeks, I'd love to help you continue inside CORE, where we keep building strength, confidence and energy together.
Hi, I'm Gila - your Bitesize Pilates Instructor
Instead of telling you my life story, here are 3 things about me that might surprise you…
I’m not a fitness fanatic
You won’t find me in a sweaty gym, lifting weights or doing crossfit! You won’t find my out running round the streets, I just don’t enjoy it! I don’t drink protein shakes and fitness isn’t my top priority, my health is.
Any activity I do, I do because I enjoy it. I have always danced since a little girl and I still do ballet now, because I love dancing and how it makes me feel.
I started to learn aerial silks a few years ago because it was something I had always wanted to do. It does of course improve your strength, but that wasn’t my motivation to do it.
I love Pilates, ever since I started doing it over 18 years ago. I love the fact I have to think about it, I have to concentrate and every time I do it, I am improving my control, precision, technique and challenging myself. Afterwards my mind always feels clearer, I feel energised and refreshed. I love how it makes me feel and that’s why I keep on doing it.
But I don’t obsess over workouts day in and day out. I care more about wellness, feeling good on the inside and out. I care about my health, my physical and mental health. I care about being active and enjoying doing the things in life I want to be able to do like running around with my children. I care about keeping active as I get older so I can continue to be independent and do things I enjoy.
I focus on how I feel not how I look
In the fitness industry the focus all too often is about how you look, with young women with flat stomachs, big breasts, tanned skin and long eyelashes pouting or lifting weights.
This is unrealistic and can easily make others feel discouraged and ashamed of the way they look.
I prefer to focus on how I feel and have made it my mission to help other busy women to feel better about themselves, improve their health and fitness, and make significant lasting changes to their lives without using how I look as a false and unachievable goal for others.
What you see is what you get! We may not always look a million dollars – that’s not real life, but I want to help you feel like a million dollars.
My weakness… (one of them!)
We all have something that we find hard to resist… I absolutely love chocolate! Anything from Cadburys to more exclusive brands and individual homemade chocolate.
However, much I love chocolate and could happily eat it all day, I also know that doing that would not be healthy. But I don’t stress over it and deprive myself of it. My approach is everything in moderation.
It is about having a healthy and balanced approach to your life, enjoying life, living realistically achieving a balance in what you do.
